7 Frequently Asked Questions about Vaping

How Does Vaping Work

Putting it as simple as can be, vaporizers turn oils into vapor which is then inhaled. That vapor passes through the lung tissues to get into the bloodstream. The blood pumps throughout your body (including to your brain!) and you get the benefits in a few short minutes!

Can You Vape Without Nicotine?

Absolutely! Many people exclusively vape THC, CBD, or other oils that are just for flavor. The vaping industry has experienced a  boom over the past 10 years with so many customers looking for different experiences that the industry has risen to meet. So, yes, you can vape without having to vape nicotine.

We have a whole blog on that one, check it out here!

Is There THC in CBD Oil?

Not typically no! THC and CBD are both compounds derived from cannabis, both cannabinoids. THC (or tetrahydrocannabinol) is the chemical responsible for the psychoactive effects of marijuana – it’s what produces the ‘high.’ CBD engages the endocannabinoid system to produce body effects like relaxation and pain relief, without the ‘high.’ So while you might get something that is both THC and CBD, if you’re buying CBD oil specifically it won’t have THC in it. Just do your due diligence.

Does THC Oil Get You High?

It sure does! Like we just talked about, THC is the chemical that produces the ‘high’ in marijuana. If you’re using a THC oil vape pen you will absolutely get high from inhaling it. It’s kinda the point actually!

How to Use Push Button Vape Pens?

Some vape pens have push buttons on them, others are automatic. They’re both equally simple to use though! With a push button vape, simply place the pen in your mouth, press the button to engage the heating coil and inhale. Automatic vape pens detect the inhaling or suction created on the mouthpiece and that triggers the coil, push buttons rely on a button press to turn on.

Push and inhale, you’re vaping baby!

How to Use a Disposable Vape Pen?

Vape pens come in a few different styles. One of them is disposable. This means that the cartridge, battery, the whole shebang is one use only. It’s prefilled with oil and ready for use right out of the box (may require charging of course). For these simply charge and use as desired. When the oil runs low you’ll be able to tell through the transparent glass of the cartridge you simply throw it away as instructed by the packaging. Disposable vape pens take all the ‘hassle’ out of refilling and recharging a vape pen. Just get a new one!

Is Vaping Addictive?

The answer here is very much: it depends. We want to be clear here, vaping is the medium so it’s not fair to say it is addictive. That’d be like asking ‘Is drinking addictive?’ It’s less the activity and more the substance that is addicting. Make sense? Drinking alcohol can be addictive, drinking milk less so. The same thing is true of vaping. A lot of what makes smoking cigarettes addicting is not just tobacco and nicotine in it but also the additives that tobacco companies put into each one to enhance their addicting qualities. Vape oils meanwhile don’t have those same substances. And while nicotine itself can be addicting, and thus vaping nicotine could be addicting, you can also vape CBD or THC oils or just flavored oil, all of which is not addicting. So, like we said, it depends what you’re vaping.
